I believe the manual states every 30k or 24 months,,, If you've got the time (4-5)hrs do it yourself... if not.. just pay for it (80.00)

No where does Ford recommend an engine oil flush. Many dealerships sell this service but it shouldn't be necessary on a vehicle with 9k miles on it. How often do you change your oil and where do you have it done? We have a display in our dealer of a Motorcraft oil filter vs. several aftermarket filters and it is hard to believe how cheaply the others are made. I am surprised they filter anything at all. Some don't even have a bypass valve in them. If you change your oil every 3k/5k miles and use quality 5w-20 oil and a quality filter, then you should never have any problems.

In regards to the oil, no there is not a suggested interval, but it is offered

you could install a second filter

well,

speaking of coolant, what are the best steps to take on doing this on our trucks. I have 20k on my 2000 and have never officially changed or flushed the coolant, but a 2 seasons ago i changed a good part of it when I did a water pump. My i/c fluid has been changed a few times.

Are we referring to the oil or the coolant?? That 30K flush sounds more like the coolant flush.

Premium Gold coolant gets first replacement at 5 years or 100,000 miles, whichever comes first. Then at 3 years or 50,000 miles for subsequent replacement. For green coolant, the intervals are 4 years or 45,000 for first replacement, and every 30,000 miles afterwards.

Dayum! You could buy like 3 Moto filters for the price of one Mobil 1 Filter. I have always heard and been told that the Moto filters are the best for our trucks.
