IHRA rules for 7.99 ET and faster
IHRA rules for 7.99 ET and faster
that's 1/8th mile, don't get excited. i'll be running a full race season (footbrake and DOT classes) this year so i need to be legit. my local track is IHRA sanctioned, so i need to know what things i need for this year as I'll be a little faster, probably 7.90s to start with. I know several additional safety requirements are required for 7.49 and faster, but is there anything additional in the 7.99-7.50 ET that I need in terms of-- harness, fire extinguisher, safety jacket, etc? thanks
if you are faster than me that is great but don't hijack my thread and start asking for YOUR rules
start yer own thread!

Hopefully some more people can confirm what the IHRA rulebooks says about cars slower than 7.49. And also what is the equivalent to 7.49 in the 1/4 according to the rules 11.99? 11.49?
Low Country Drag way is my local track, and the word is they are going to be stickler to the rules. No more cars running faster than 7.49 without a roll-bar. Looks like 7.49 will be the fastest I go anytime soon then.
