Dallas Mustang dyno results
ANDRE has a 373 rear end and you'all and I have 355 rears. GEARS & GAS are the two big gainers in this race. I'd like to see a no gas champion. Do you have a 1/8 mile strip to run at where you are. We have one here in Houston that has club weekend on the last Sunday of every month. It's not crowded and you get lots of runs. We can compare time sheets. Or you are welcome to come to our track in Sealy, Texas on IH-10 west of Houston.

I don't think it should be open. Then it just becomes a function of who spends the most money. That take's the fun out of it for 99%. If you want class then do it like the drags. Have an unlimited class and have a say chip, fllter, exhausts, supension, gear, tire class. The only problem with the last one is no 355 rear truck is going to beat a 373 rear truck so maybe rear gear should be separated as I have no desire to put a 373 in my truck which I drive 20k+ miles a year.

F1, those are great #s for stock. I assume they are _corrected_ numbers which means it doesn't make a hill of beans what the air was like when you tested it...the numbers are corrected to SAE net, so if the weather stinks, you get a high correction "factor". On a cool day, your _actual_ #s will be higher than the corrected #s...and so would everyone elses.
Still those numbers are outstanding for a stock L, IMHO. The one time I dyno'd mine with 1200 miles on it, it made 362rwhp/444rwtq with the chip as the only mod.
As far as DuMP goes...don't get me started.

Agreed. The mythical "Fastest Lightning in Texas" should be in fact an anything goes class. That would leave other classes for you and I. I would run in the BLack-Roush suspension,filter,chip,header,non-leaking intercooler,<15K mile, synthetic motor oil,3:55 gear, over 40 year-old class. Hopefully I will be the only guy in my class and get a big-a$$ trophy.

I would be an easy winner in the Silver, Stock, Clueless diabetic driver class .....
I think we should put an end to all the talk. TexasMotorPlex in Ennis is near the middle of the state. Pick a date - I will put up $100 to cover gas for the best time in the open class. The other classes can fend for them selves. Any one who is interested send me an email and I will get the plans started.
I will also see what I can do about still and video recordings of the event.
www.fastestlightningintexas.com is available. If this gets big enough I will register the name and the site will be a dedicated ego boost to the winner of our little contest. We will also list the rankings and times of any other entrants.
Rules: Must Be street legal. DOT tires, Registered and insured in Texas. Must be a Ford Lightning. And you must give me a ride....
What do you all think ??

First things first, when I said I’d kill wildman, well the guy makes like 800 foot pounds of torque I’d die just trying. That was posted facetiously, come on guys work with me here!
As far as the rest of you, I never stated that I was the fastest Lightning in Texas.
BTW the DMP chip was custom made for me at Dallas Mustang, it was a prototype now for sale.
To: Wildman,
Killer post, I assume that was with NSO.
