Cool All 4 Colors

Pics from last nights get together at the Texas Motorplex in Ennis. Great time, not so good times (ETs), but managed to get a picture of all four colors. Way cool! Had a blast as usual and went 3 for 4 without my Superchip. (Wins:Acura,99Vette,454SS Pickup / Loss:69GTO Judge)

Moonshine ----- Sixpipes ----- Silver_2000 ----- Missouri Tom

Met Cr1028 and Lil Bro (you need to make that your online handle), Moonshine, Silver_2000, Tom from Missouri, Mumbly and LTrain on his R6 Yamaha.

Sorry for the pic quality, but it was like dark or something. Drag racing is awesome.

Hey, it's Lil bro here. Took six pipes and advice and made lil bro my handle. Had a great time last night. Six pipes and truck are awesome. Had my first run last night at ennis in my friends thunderbird. Big bro drove too. Wasn't the fastest car on the strip but it was all in good fun. Maybe one day i'll be able to line up next to sixpipes. Had a great time and am ready to go again. Six pipes, let me know when you're gonna head out there again and i'll gladly follow. Maybe this time you can let me drive your car through the staging lanes instead of big bro... Hope to see yall out there again soon.

Cool

Lil_bro -

I probably won't make it to the track next week, but we'll see. Enjoyed meeting you guys. If I don't go to the San Antonio rally on the 14th/15th of April, I'll probably go to Ennis and/or the car show in Frisco. You've got dibbs on staging duty next time.

Thanks six pipes, I'll be your staging guy any time. I think the weekend of the San Antonio rally I'll probably go to the car show too. So if you don't end up going to San Antonio then we could all meet up there or something. Maybe Ennis too. Hopefully I'll have my truck by then.

Thanks sixpipes, for the awesome time. I had a blast. It was nice seeing Silver again too. Everyone on this website is awesome. I raced for the first time last night in my friends 97 T-bird with the V6 and ran a 17.369@78mph. It feels like you are going alot faster than you really are but, it was fun just the same.

Not a board first but had fun trying. Thanks for the pics sixpipes. Had a great time last night. ET's were off but I made progress on reaction times. Sixpipes its too bad that last run didnt work out side by side It would have been a close one. We both had good reaction times and decent ET's for the conditions.

This board makes my life difficult, I have a hard time remembering names anyway and now I have to remember Names and Handles Geesh !!
Looking forward to next trip to track.

Did I read that right sixpipes? Nice win, against that 99 vette. Was it a bad driver? Earlier tonight, coming back from the 'strip' we saw a blue Viper with the white racing stripes. We (friend, his girl, her friend and me) tried to get him to run, but he said he'd feel bad if he ran against a truck. I said this ain't no truck its a Lightning and could very well do high 13's at the track (I know that ain't anywhere close to Viper territory but what the hey). Then he asks what I done to it and I say not a thing, thats how ford makes it. Then he says he's gotta go. I did notice one thing, my truck sounded way meaner than the Viper, and he did note that he liked the way it sounded. Ohwell, I'll get my 1st American sports car kill soon enough.

Did I mentioned after he drove off we saw a car rental sticker on the rear of the car? Probably did not know how to effectively drive that thing...

Tundra -

Needless to say the Vette had problems at the start. I jumped him and he couldn't recover in time. I was without my chip so I figured I was in big trouble lining up against this guy. Following is information from the run.

Lightning ---------- Vette

.619 (3)----------- .803
2.154 (2) ---------- 2.746
6.015 (3) ---------- 6.609
9.169 (3) -----------9.611
77.61 mph (4) ------ 83.089 mph
11.91 (3) ---------- 12.175
14.210 (3) --------- 14.320
99.87 (4) ---------- 105.33

Parenthesis indicates ranking out of four total runs. High humidity and not a lot of grip. I'm not real proud of these numbers, but it just goes to show you if the other guy messes up at the start, it can be very hard for him to overhaul a Lightning before the finish line. Also interesting to note the Vette was 5.479 mph faster at the 1/8 marker and only 5.46 mph faster at the 1/4.
