Technology and pulley

Hey Guys,

With all the new technology and improvements that has become known to the tuners over the years with tuning, does it really make a difference moving from a 4 pound pulley to a 6 pound pulley?

No "search police please" I have been looking for about 1 hour and no thread seems to address this point that is less than a year old.

I don't know if my L is getting slower or I have become accustomed to the power Probably you guys may have experienced this as well.

Let me know

IMO, I think it might lean out a little, which MAY cause problems. Also, anytime you add mods you should retune to get the most out of them.

I have not replaced my 4 pounder, I was thinking of doing so and trying to find out if there are any real benefits.

Dyno difference:

E.T. difference:

Best thing I ever did was swap to a 6# pulley. I went from running 8.0-8.2 to running 7.7-7.8. I have made 20 1/4 mile passes & 60 1/8 th mile passes with the 6#'r. With the right tune it can be done. Although I have a good street tune, and i never do any 120+mph blasts in cold weather.

BTW: My A/F has been corrected. That was my first pull with the 6#'r, and my tuner richened it up on the upper end.
