Anyone get one of these recently?
Haven't been on here in a while..so if someone posted this I apologize in advance.
I recently appraised my truck on-line just to see it... as I'm sure you guys know, the value is pretty much where it was 3 years ago.
I guess some of the Ford dealerships are trying to buy locally owned trucks from people, rather than auctions + random trades.
Either way, glad to see them hold their value so well....even 6 years later

Sales weenies will try anything and everything to create "traffic".
Just to illistrate how completely out of touch car sales people are... Two weeks ago I went to drive a slightly used car w/low miles on it. I was traveling 115miles to look at this car and the salesman knew it. He asked what time would be good for me. I say "As early as is possible. Say.. 8am?"
He say's "No that would'nt be good for me. I have a sales productivity meeting to go to". I kid you not.. those were his exact words.
I wound up buying the car.. and had a little "fun" with him and the manager too. You know.... Life is funny if you pay attention.

no bubble here...I only care what NADA says. I just never received one of these, and I have owned 4 Ford trucks in the last 6 years. It figures this dealership would use that tactic..they are very shady people.
I did think it was a very generalized letter though, I wasn't even sure which of my vehicles they were "targeting"
Steve:
I'm out of the loop man, when is it? If its the right day I may be able to make some sort of dual purpose trip out of it.. its easier to get out of work that way.

I get one of those about every 3 months or so for every car I've ever bought or had serviced at a dealer. I've even gotten them because they had my information on file from just buying parts...
