Hey 99 Lightning Newbie... you waste more time moaning and groaning about BS stuff then it would take you to hit that little search button and do a little reading.
If you want to cry whine and bitch about everything in life and have all information handed to you on a golden platter like a momma hands a little baby a tit, then thats what I think you are, a baby. There is so much useful information here, is all YOU need to do is take some time and read a little. Then if you still don't understand ask. But we get tired of 30 new people a week asking the same stupid question over and over, we've talked about your specific questions at least 50 times here, so stop whining and start reading already...

Hey, its you guys fault for saying you missed him.
Newbie,
Don't say you don't have time to search for what you want to know! I doubt that if you found out all your request you would be ordering it all the next day.
You had time to reply to your post several times, which could have been better spent searching the archives. Always start there and if your still left with questions then seek the opinion's of the board.
On a lighter note welcome to the club and congrats on your Lightning. Nobody here appreciates being called jackasses or douchebags so please try and refrain from using such terms.

I may have stirred the pot on this one, and I apologize for that. However, let me say this, simple questions don't always lend themselves to simple answers. If you wanted me to say "BedRug, SnugLid, Sal's filter, any chip" I could do this easily, but I can't believe it will mean much to you if you are a newbie. So then 15 other people respond the same way and now you have a survey that you could have developed by using the search function. My time is worth just as much to me as it is to you. If I met you on the street I would have answered your questions in depth, but in that case I would have assumed that you didn’t have access to this website or the information any other way. I would have told you about this website and suggest that you use the terrific search feature to find everything you would want to know. There is no other auto website like this one and I’m proud to be part of it.
Burnout101, I have used the search feacher successfully many times. Use more than one word to narrow the seach if need be, or much more specific like BedRug instead of bed liner.
Good Luck to you all……. Joel

Lightning Newbie,
I would recommend toning it down a little bit. Trolling around on the same day you register to use the boards is certainly not the way to get things accomplished. If you have a hidden agenda to being here, come out with it. Otherwise, keep the insults to yourself or I will quickly notify your insurance company employer of this thread and the certain abuse of your corporate resources that it demonstrates.

CA,
I always crack up how you're just sitting back in the sidelines and then every now and then just throw in these little tension breakers.
P.S. Best of luck to you w/your court case.

Hey newbie. You ought to go back and look at the first post I made about changing tires. Boy, BADASSTV flamed me so bad if I wasn't a christian I would have killed him in print and in person if I could have found him. It was so bad even Steve (webmaster) steped in. When I was young us hot rodders would get together and talk about what we had "heard" or read in Hot Rod but most stuff was trial and error. This board is great because we have intrepid individuals who are willing to buy and try new things and ideas. Everything I have added, have or order, or am thinking about adding is a direct result of info gathered from this board. It is invaluable beyoud words. Thanks Steve for doing it.

Gee, and I thought I was being restrained precisely because I was "hiding behind a keyboard." Well, it's a new day, and a different keyboard, so here's my $0.03 (yes, the price goes up by 50% when you call me bad names). Your original post indicated inexperience (which is not a problem since we all were and still are inexperienced to some degree), and a failure to do any reading before posting a question (a mistake, forgiveable, but still a mistake). SVT2Go gave you a gentle rebuke, and suggestions on how to learn more. Rather than take it in the vein it was intended, you responded with a tantrum where you told Steve his board was lousy, and you referred to every member in gynecological terms. I could be wrong, but I just don't see that as an appropriate way to make new friends or benefit from the experience of others, which I suspect is why most of us joined this board. Justen, you are the model of patience, tolerance, and forgiveness. Very impressive young man. I wish I had more of your virtues, but I don't. 99 Lightning Newbie, I'm really not trying to start a board war with you. I have better things to do with my time, and it's not why I'm here. If you joined this board to learn more about a fantastic vehicle, meet some folks with a similar passion for the L., and benefit from the experience of others who have tried different mods, then I welcome you. Although I'm not one of them, there are a number of people on this board who have a tremendous amount of knowledge and experience with this vehicle, and they're gracious enough to share it with the rest of us. I would ask that you treat them with common courtesy so they don't get a bad taste in their mouths about us newer members. To all, I apologize for the long post.
