When I'm turning left, on a city street, at a medium sort of pace, I'm getting a sort of buzzing/ whirring sound from what seems like the front left of the truck. Today I noticed a burning oil smell right after it.

Power steering pump problem/leak do you suppose???

Only you could tell us if its leaking. Then I would check the fluid level. If its low then fill it, unless there is an obvious leak, then it would need to be fixed, replaced, or new hoses.
