Exclamation To most of the new people

Hello to all the new members, and not so new. This has been said many times to almost all of you, but I really feel that we need to read it again. There is a little button @ the top right of you screen, it is called the "search" button USE IT!!!!! Im sure that I am not the only one here that hates reading the same posts over & over & over & over & over again. How many times does the
I'm lookin for some horsepower gains can someone tell me about a chip/filter blah blah blah.......

Or, lookin for race slicks blah blah blah......

Or, got a ? on hoods, what type are there, where can I find them.........

Or, the piston slap issue, the weight reducion issue, s/c pulleys issue, or the.............
You all get the point!!!!!!!!

Use what resources you have a use that 'search' button!!!!!! You will find most of your ?'s answered there! And if not, by all means post, but all of use would greatly appreciate it if you used the 'search' first!

Next, (I'm on a roll) I dont want to offend anyone that is proud of their truck, but its with the use of you sigs' all the time. Lots of times people will post within the same topic & use their sig again to show what they have, but that uses a lot of space not only within the bandwidth, but it makes reading the replies a lot longer. You have to scroll all the way through so much of the persons sig (which some are quite long, mine was one of those & I have shortened it becuz I thought it looked stupid to post all my crap). Sometimes the sigs get so long they are longer than the reply. My point is that we dont need to see you sig ALL THE TIME! Especially if you have already replied to the topic, its not like we are going to see something new within, so why waste the space!?!?!

There, hope I dont offend anyone here (I know how weak & fragile some people are around here j/k ) but I'm sure that most others that agree with me on all of this.

the problem I find with sigs is they match my searchs...do a search of "psp chip", etc, and you get people's sigs.

thepawn has a point. it happens all the time.
I was doing some research earlier today and ran into the same thing. I took me forever to wade through the sigs...

who would listen to a YELLOW lightning owner anyway? Post away, we all did at first. besides it nice seeing the interest all the new members have. I do agree with the signature thing, it does take up alot of band width, kinda like Yoda's post.

To solve the problem of sigs matching the search, do a Subject Only search. The only problem with a Subject Only is that people have to use meaningful subjects.

I agree with 1BADTK, post away. Using the seach mode forces you to sift through a ton of idle chat from members that have been around since the days of Yoda

Just one thing....I was trying to find the post with Jared and my tickets on it earlier and it said that it had been lost or something blah blah blah...so if some of the new owners are looking for something that was not so dominant a topic as hp gain or the piston slap they may run into that. It doesn't hurt to be patient on our part, they don't know...like my first post, hell, I thought I was doing a good thing by mentioning DOWNS as a supplier *in case you didn't know* hehe little did I know that y'all were already enlightened. But you are right Yodie, it also does not hurt to look before you leap on the new owners part and personal stuff can be saved for email in some cases...but we were all new owners once, I will be til my first overhaul lol It's all good. And I like my sig...*Sigh*

Just a note, there is a yellow Lightning, 4 of them actually. Go to
nloc.org and see it. Ford built them and the first 4 Silvers to see how the dealers liked them, Silver won, but maybe next year...
