Question D.R. break-in

Anybody that can offer some advice...
I remember a long while back reading about a break-in period for drag radials. Can anybody advise me with this?

Thanks

I thought it was one good heat cycle (liberal dose of right foot) followed by about 24 hours sitting in the garage.

PFA,
All I did was drive them on the road for around 60 miles, Got them nice and scuffed. At the track I do a wet burnout holding the r.p.m.`s at around 3200 (1st gear)until they start biting, then let it roll out. I have managed a best of 1.93 60'.

Question

Spiro, what air pressure do you run in your T/A's? Thanks.

Depending on track and weather coditions, I run anywhere between 15-18 psi.Best thing to do is feel what is comfortable for you. Hope this helps.

I use the Nittos and since I don't drive them on the street, it took about 10 passes on them before they started to hook. I have found that 16psi works the best on my truck. They are not very consistant though. Sometimes the hook, sometimes they don't. I don't launch with as much confidence as I have on slicks. But when they do hook, they hook hard. I've run a best 60ft of 1.91 with them.

I didn't have much time to break in my DRs before going to the track, so I did a couple of burnouts by my house, until one of my neighbors threatened to call the cops, then I just drove to the track with the DRs on (about 40 miles). That seemed to break them in allright, I'm sure they'll get better the more I use them though.
