Question Battery drain- Is this normal???

Ever since I got the Lightning, it ends up killing the battery during storage. I have already killed two batteries.

I have taken it to Ford on several occasions and they indicated that the drain is 58 mamps with 50 being normal. Tech says that is still in the normal range. Now just before storage, I put in a branc new Super Duty Interstate battery. The truck drained it 100% in only six weeks.

I know the computer uses some juice but surely this can't be normal??????

With my other stored vehicles, I start them up every couple of months and everything is fine.

This is driving me crazy. I can't remove the battery because the area where it is stored, the vehicle must be in running condition at all times due to fire regulations.

Pull the ground. Put a test light on the NEG post and the other end on the ground wire. The light should light up. Goto the drivers side, under the hood and start pulling fuses. When the test light goes out, that is where the problem is. Look in the owners book and see what fuse it is.

Could also check and insure the under hood light bulb is actually going out when you shut the hood. If its not going out that would drain a battery in a short amount of time.
