Went out tonite to pick up a factory soft tonneau from a buddy and neither of us could figure out how to take it off, he never had and ive never had one. we pulled down on the corner thingies near the tailgate corners but to no such luck nothing came off. how exactly do u take it off.-kyle

 

Pull back on the tab and lift off towards the cab. It peels off, is the best way to describe it.

 

hmm we were pullin the tabs down... they were like spring loaded didnt look like they went backwards

 

If it as an original,,,tongue and groove...pull the corners out..then remove the tongues on the back and sides. The 2 center supports are spring loaded just push inward from one side or the other. The side rails are held in place by allen head screws..two one each side...the rear piece has a release on each end.
If the corners have not turned up yet you can trim any excess overlap of the tongue with a razor and the corners will lay nice and flat...

 

The "spring loaded" rear clips that you are pulling down release the back bar so it
can be removed to the rear. Just pull it down and tap on the inside of the bar.
