Question A-pillar grab handle on 2000 L

I noticed in AlanC's post about his new white L (congrats Alan) that the 2000 model has grab handles on both A-pillars. This is different from the 99.5 right? It seems this would greatly help reduce seat wear in entry, especially for us vertically challenged types. What does everyone think?

Thanks Tim!

Looking through my 99 brochure, it does appear that the 99s did not have a grab handle on the driver's side.

My 2000 definately has one and I'm thankful for it!

My passengers so far have appreciated the one on their side too! Gives them a way to hang on for dear life.

No handle on my 99. Might be helpful to save the seat.

After looking at my 2000 brochure, it appears that they've used most of the same pictures from the 99 brochure.

No drivers side grab handles evident anywhere.

Whats more interesting, however, is that the pictures all show the new body color mirror inserts!

Looks like they digitally edited the photos to add the mirror inserts (or they did one heck of a job recreating the original photos)

Driver's side handle certainly gets in the way for us taller types. 6'4" - only wacked it once in 3 days. I'll learn. Gauges would definitely be a problem.
