"TO spray or NOT to spray"

I have just about every bolt on known....and my tuner says I am at my limit...but I still want a bit more. It was a toss between water/meth injection or the "spray". I have decided going with the juice was better. I was thinking of a 50 shot to be conservative. I have heard that a dry shot doesn't work too well on our trucks. Just thought I would get a little feedback first.

Listen to your tuner...Don't let greed for speed vent your block. Regardless of what people will say, you have to admit it is a roll of the dice when already pushing the limits(according to your tuner).

I am at the 440-445 HP range on my stock block as well and will not take a chance on mounting up the JUICE. It would be nice way to stick out my chest @ the track ,but that horrid sound and smoke coming from underneath my hood keeps me grounded. On a side note I did consider buying it for the car show factor, but have decided that I can spend money other ways to make the Lightning look killer!

Or you could take that chance mount up the juice and get 1/2 dozen passes with out damaging the internals too much. But MY opinion is juice will decrease the lifespan of a motor, especially one not ready built to handle the juice. After looking @ pics of rob 02's engine when he posted it during his teardown of his stock block I decided that it was not for me. But it is your truck ,your money, your call.

If you can fight the tempation and stay with a 50 wet shot. Youll be ok. I know several Ls , here in Fl, that are maxed out and have 100 plus wet shots for allmost 2 years now with no problems.

I'd agree with QWK. Even though promod knows of a couple of guys with no (known) problems, your rolling dice that may net you a ventilated block. Sure, you want only 50 now, but I know how it is with power, it's never quite enough. Once you become accustomed to the power, your truck starts to feel slow. If the L's not your daily driver, it may be worth it for you, but I certainly wouldn't risk it if it was my daily driver. Just my .02.

Denial is not only a river that runs through egypt thar dog.

Actually if you run a wet shot that's a little too rich you could probably do it. But then again tuners have seen it over and over again. That experienced "eye" is 1/2 the reason we pay them good money.

I guess that is what I expected to hear. My tuner knows his stuff and I do want to listen to him. I guess the other side of the coin is this. My wife (the off-duty boss) won't let me get a built block until this one is "no good anymore" as she puts it. S-o-o-o-o-o-o.....I was thinking.....why not push it towards the cliff a bit.

But with a wet shot (I was thinking Racetested) of about 50 or so.....that should be okay. And I do run a conservative tune anyway.

More to come.........

What is considered "to big" of a single wet shot? 100hp? I'm running a completely stock truck except for a 90mm MAF. I'm thinking 100hp would be no problem but would I have to get a progressive controller? I don't really want to spend to much as I already have the NX wet kit and psp nitrous plate. I'm hopeing to buy just a xcal2 and get a dyno tune.
