Those are HREs. They run about $1500 a wheel.

$1500 a wheel! I'll stick with mine, could almost buy a two whipples with that kind of $$$$$.

Yah, those back wheels where custom made so they cost a lot more .

Dude spent a lot a coin on that Vette, around $250K. Started out as a run down '74 small block car. Original builder ended up selling it a Barrett-Jackson for 68 thousand I think, he never really even drove it .

Got to admire the time and money it took to make a car like that, no matter what brand. Except jap......ofcourse

I'll be willing to bet there will be alot of Whipple powered Lightning running the streets this time next year. Then everybody will forget about the 2 weeks and locking kb's

The guy who paid to have this done had a huge website with almost daily updates as the car was being built. Around the time it was supposed to be up and running, the updates stopped. I always wondered what happened to it. It had a ton of work put into it but I really thought parts of it were a hack job...
