Cool Lightning Specific "Vendor" Forum?

Steve,

I know I'm probably already viewed as a thorn by you at this point; a passionate, and enthusiastic thorn of course , but would you possibly consider creating a forum specifically for "Lightning Vendors"? I am positive, that this can resolve the issues, of "Lightning Vendors" posting in the regular Lightning Forum, The Lightning forum deserves to have something like this since it has become the most popular colum here at F150online anyway.

You allow vendors to educate, and pass along information in the Regular Vendor thread, but I think most of the Lightning owners find it difficult to sift through the "other" stuff. This would be a great idea. Mike T., Sal etc.. don't really "promote" their stuff much anyway. I think the guys who have already bought his stuff sing it's praise enough, which makes it easier.

Sorry if this is not very professional, but I was in a hurry.

I think the above would be a great idea for the lightning group. This is something I've thought was needed for a long time even before the recent issues with Sal and others.

I'm not sure how easy this would be accomplished, but I know it would be a step in the right direction.

IMO of course

Seems like a pretty good idea..plus if it keeps the vendors from whining about the free speech for their profit thing I'm for it.

Steve, thanks for running a clean and fun site. I would like to see vendors allowed to advertise anywhere as long as they operate on a non-profit for the love of lightning basis. Thanks again for the use of your time, money and hardware.

My nickel's worth...

Again, just my two cents worth...I don't really think there is a need for a special vendors section just for Lightning owners. I have checked the vendors section on several occasions, and have found very few vendors actually using the supplied forum.

The problem here is really between Steve and Sal, and as M. Blue has recommended in the past, such issues are best solved off the board.....I think Sal the "Lightning Tuner" has many things to share with us, and I for one wish to express my gratitude. However, the Sal who owns and operates "Power Surge Peformance" has reaped the benefits of having a captive audience to sell his products to, without the expense of advertising. I am not trying to single Sal out, since this has really been happening here for some time now, a problem perpetuated by the simple fact that making parts for such a limited production vehicle forces the vendors to migrate to the "feeding grounds", ie, Steve's territory. Some of us have used the phrase "free speech" in earlier, related posts, and I agree. However, that freedom cuts both ways, and Steve is simply exercising his right to govern this format the way he sees fit. Hope I did not offend anyone, but hey, that's why it's called "free speech."
