Anybody ran an 8# pulley on stock bottom end?

I have an 8# sitting in the garage and was interested to see if anyone has done this. I have all the usuall upgrades...6#,headers,ported heads, intake, and plenum, sbtb, etc. Im sooooo tempted to put it on but wonder how long she will handle it. If I scatter the bottom end, guess it would be a good time to convince the wife I need the built lower.
I have an 01 with 15k,it isnt a daily driver. What's your opinion?

i ran a 10 lb lower on my stock block truck for 2 seasons before i swapped the Paxton on. but i never did much normal driving with it. if your serious about making it last make sure you get it dynotuned for that pulley. too many thing can go wrong otherwise.

Daily driver with 8# lower and ported blower (strippped rotors) on stock block with 33k+ miles. Safe tune though

I ran an 8lb lower on my 03 from around 8 miles to 23k when I sold the truck.

Only problems I ever had was traction.

Like PORSEN said, the right tune makes the difference.

03L: 18 lbs seen on the boost gauge, probably only 16, I have a 6lb lower, 2.73 upper on the MP, & kooks long tubes. all with a RWTD 15* street tune on 93 octane.

Guy here did. Bought a new block about 3 months later. 3 pistons pretty much had the top ring and the piston ripped off. Seems to have ran out of fuel/ timing/ not sure but the rods held!
