Hey guys,

I was cruising up to my shop yesterday to work on my buddies 03 L to do a
little work on it. I was about a mile away from work when i saw an orange 05 vette cruising the other way on Broad St. and i made an immediate u turn to catch up and see if this vette wants some of an L. My buddies L has a JDM built motor, kenne bell. full deal,etc. We installed the motor spring of 04 and is still running strong. Anways, i catch up to this vette and start to taunt this guy. The kicker was that he was crusing next to me on the exhaust side. Hehe. His license plate said "GITEVEN". Well i pull up next to him at the next red light and we race 1st from a dead stop. I raced and pulled away from him up to 60mph and let off and he flies by after i let off. he goes by and raises his arms up at me to say like he beat me or something like u cant hang man. I got really offended by the gesture so i mat it to catch up to him. I think he had no clue that this was not a stock L. Well i know the new C6 vette is for real too, not to put cheby down or nothing. I was under the impression the L would have a harder time racing from a roll due to weight disadvantge or lack of aerodynamics but i was surprised when we raced at 60 mph roll on i walked that vette by like 3 truck lengths. i guess a built motor L should walk a vette easily anyways.

I can hear him now over on the Vette forum:
"so I'm cruising down the street when this Lightning pulls up next to me and we race, he gets the jump on me but when we get to about 60mph I just blow by him and wave "see ya" then later when I wasn't even racing he does the ricer fly-by.

 

YOU KNOW IT, this guy i know has an 05 conv auto that ran a 13.1 and tells me my truck is to heavy, I cant wait till spring
