Ford did just open their x-plan option a bit to extend further out. The x-plan is like 3-4%over dealer invoice. The a and z-plan is 3% below dealer invoice.
I'm not sure on the specifics of the x-plan, but with the a and z you are required to keep the vehicle in your name for a 6 month minimum.

I think my father bought one a few years ago that way. If it's what I'm thinking of I think he paid 5% over dealer and it was for first time buyers of Ford(yeah, right Dad).

Brother in law is fand I man for a ford dealership the x plan is like you say 3 to 4 % over invoice and it is given to certain companys one being dupont. But these discounts do not have to be given on svt vehicles because the dealers pay a premium every year to be svt dealerships.

A dealer doesn't have to A Plan any car, and in some areas they don't A Plan any SVT vehi8chles, but in Cincinnati I have only heard of one that doesn't.
By the way, a dealer can sell a car anywhere between a plan and retail (or higher) to a Ford Employee, as long as they don't turn the sale into Ford as an A Plan sale, but if you fill out the A plan papaers, you pay what's on the invoice. That's the real invoice not the one the "$49.00 over invoice" dealers show to the "$49.00 over invoice" customers. On the A Plan invoice, it has a box labeled "A Plan" and that's what ya pay.
