Called the dealer again today and still no build date!Ordered Dec 28.Anybody order around that time received their's yet? He says may not see it till May. This s****s! I know Sal's filter will be here before that right Sal? Tired of staring at clear corners and Bed Rug need TRUCK! Think I'll go shoot myself now. BYE!

 

Sorry to here about your woes KGM. I kinda feel bad, but I ordered my L on Jan 11 and picked it up Feb 25. I really don't understand the delivery system.

2000 Black Lightning

 

Ordered mine on 11-9-99. Talked to dealer last week. His first delivery is April, 2nd is May (mine). I was second on the list of five L's, all sold at MSRP.

 

What's your order number and dealer number, KGM? They should be on your DORA (Dealer Order Receipt Acknowledgement). If you don't have it, get a copy from your dealer. The dealer number should consist of 5 digits and a letter. The order number should be four digits.

I know its no consolation, but the L. I ordered on Jan. 4 is still clean and unscheduled. I can't believe how lucky I was to get someone else's cancellation.

KGM - I was driving north on I-15 between stateline and Jean, and saw a 2000 Silver Lightning driving south. Looked like it just came off the dealers lot.

alphadoggy what do we do with the #'s once we have them? Back2Ford did'nt come from my dealer. Just got their first one in and it's locked up waiting for tint or something.Told me I could come look but don't bug my salesman for the keys to even sit in it. Guess that's a good thing, shows they care about these trucks and there new owners.

 

sounds like some dealers have a proitery over others dosen't it..

I ordered mine on October 18th and still didn't have a build date as of yesterday, so I bought a black one instead. Good luck on the wait, I guess I couldn't.

Ordered mine on 12/28/99 also. Just received it on Friday, 3/10. Build date was 02/08/00 and build number was 0986. I got mine from a very large SVT dealer just outside of Philadelphia.

I don't understand Ford at all. I ordered a black one in Houston back on August 14. I (finally) found out today that my build is scheduled for this week and that delivery should be sometime during the first week of April.

It seems like there are lots of people getting L's who ordered waaaay after me. This is frustrating as hell!

Dealership or Ford? Who knows?

Not to add fuel to your fire guys,but a friend of mine who loves my truck is picking up one of his own on April 1. Heres the kicker...He didn't order one. The local SVT dealer has 8 coming in during that week(or so they claim),and they said only two are orders.He is laying claim to a black one.Why he can't go w/ another color I don't know? It is the fastest color ,but I wanted to be the only one in the area w/ a black beast...What a jerk!

Add me to that list...I ordered mine on Feb. 16th, of this year, and it is scheduled to be built one week from today, on March 20th.!! That's about a month from order, to building. It is supposed to be here by the 15th of April. JOY!!!
