Exclamation 2000 Silver L available in Southern CA.

There will be a 2000 silver Lightning available around the end of the month at Peyton Cramer Ford in Torrance, CA. It's scheduled and will be at the rail depot in about 10 days, at the dealership soon after.

I am not the dealer, I am not selling it, I am just giving someone who might want it a heads-up.

This truck was ordered by a customer who just cancelled. The dealer is worried he won't be able to sell it, that's a bunch of BS. They want $2,000 over sticker, if they are worried they'll take sticker, right. So somebody go prove how wrong they are to be worried. Ask for Bob or Dan in Sales.

I agree but it's not uncommon for high demand or limited availability vehicles in the cash rich areas of California.

The dealer in Thousand Oaks (Kemp Ford) is charging sticker while the two in the South Bay (Peyton Cramer and Manhattan) are over sticker. Peyton Cramer won't even do an order without the customer agreeing to a $2,000 premium. It's life in Lala land.

At any rate they should be ready to do a deal at MSRP or under if they really are worried they can't sell it (once again that's BS). No matter it's a chance for somebody to get one early at the best price they can negotiate, or just leave it on the lot.

FYI, the silver L. that I was supposed to receive has been released from the factory and should hit Barber Ford in Ventura any day now. I don't know whether it is spoken for or not, but anyone interested can call Stacie Dunford @ 805-642-6701 and find out. I paid list for mine, and that is the dealer policy- no discount, but no pack. These people have been a real pleasure to deal with, and if you do buy a Lightning and mention my name there's a bottle of wine in it for me.

Dealers in the LA city area are marking them up, but if you go to the suburbs you can usually find them at sticker - particularly if you have a history with the dealer.

------------------
2000 F150 SuperCab, Short Bed, 4X4, ORP, 5.4L, Auto Trans, 3.55LS, Captains Chairs with power drivers seat, rear slider, class III towing package, remote entry with alarm and just about everything you can get on this truck. Added a Ford bug deflecter, floor mats and a K&N filter.

Thumbs down

Be careful who you deal with, alphadoggy. I wouldn't buy a can of beans from Stacie Dunford. He isn't what he appears to be. Beware!

Here in Northern CA, the local dealer (Hansel Ford)marks them up 6000.00!!!,no deals. They say they can sell them all day at that price, yeah right. The line is "you must not want a lightning very bad". Do you belive that?.
