Hoo boy - JBA's
Got home from a lunch run today, and found a box of JBA's sitting by my front door. The welds are a little rough, at least compared to the lugs on my bicycles, but they sure are prettier than the stock caterpillers. Heavier than I expected, too, obviously pretty sturdy. Now I have to call my mechanic and see what he wants to install them. Whoopeee.
Update: just got off the phone with mechanic, who said that he would charge me $135 plus whatever the muffler shop charges him for welding. Will do it next week sometime. Wasn't planning to do it this soon, wanted to get some baseline performance figures for the stocker, first, but, what the heck, pipes are just cluttering up my living room. Wretched excess is never enough.

Tell your mechanic that there is no welding involved with the JBA's. They bolt right up to the block and the cat pipes. It took my speed shop 4 hours to put them on.
The best way to do it is to remove the front tires and the inner fender well walls. JBA said that it should take 6 to 7 hours to install. Definately way off. Good Luck they sound great when they are finished.
