Question Security concerns

Ordered a set of Gorilla lug nuts from Discount Tire today, and installed a locking gas cap ($28 @ dealer, total rip-off). Not so much concerned about someone siphoning gas as somebody adding contaminants to gas tank. Now I wonder, is anyone putting spare wheel locks on their L? Had a spare stolen from my Toyota p/u once and it was not a pleasant experience. And if answer is yes, are you using the factory part (guaranteed to cost twice as much), or some other aftermarket lock?

Cool

Not sure about the Lightnings, but the ones on our Mustang Cobra are McGuard lock nuts and they came on the car from Ford. They do have a guarantee and you can also buy them cheaper from other than the dealer as well.

I dont know about spare tire locks. I had one on my '97 4x4 and someone tried to steal the tire but didnt notice the lock. In all their prying and twisting, they mangled the tire mounting assembly and caused $250+ in damage that the dealer refused to fix under warranty. Just buying a new spare would have been cheaper.
