Question Snuglid clamp on install question

For those of you that have installed the Snuglid, did you drill through the bed for the install or did you use the "clamp on" installation kit? I ordered my Snuglid the other day and the salesman recommended I go with the clamp on, he said no holes to drill and it won't loosen in time. I went ahead and ordered it, but just want to be sure thats the right way to go.

Mine is installed with the clamp on system and I have had to tighten it up only once, shortly after it was installed. Since then it has withstood 155 mph blasts and seen no ill effects.

Andy,

I'm in Phoenix, Arizona. Ordered from a company called Michigan Trailer Sales. The Snuglid w/o the trim was $725, the carpet on the Snuglid is an additional $50, and the clamp on system was another $50.

I ordered my SnugLid locally:

$729 SnugLid
$ 65 headliner
$ 50 SnuGrip

My retailer also gave me a $40 Internet discount, and they let me use my $20 SnugLid coupon.

Does the SnugLid have a pull-down strap to help close it, or is it an option?
