Thumbs up 1st road race, 1st kill

I get home from work and the rain had stopped early this afternoon and the roads are dry. I decide I'm gonna put a new heater hose on my Vette, well darn, luckily I bought the wrong one, so in the L I go. Coming back from the dealer I get on my Cell phone and I make a lane change and accidentally cut off this Dodge which apparently was trying to get next to me quick. Anyhow, then I don't see him, well he gets next to me on my right. I slow alittle and he just stays right next to me, its a 5.9 R/T. So, he starts lurching eggin me on, so what the heck. Were doin about a 40 mph roll, he nails it, I kick it down into second, and before I knew it he's fading fast, about 4 lengths behind me and I shut it down. I knew I'd have no prob, as I ran one at my local track Friday, but I just had to show him what the L had. 380 miles on the odometer and it is already starting to feel better.

Love this truck! I'm definitely enjoying my first time Ford driving experience.

380 miles and already an r/t kill?!!! I am happy for you. I've got 4k miles, three of which are on studded tires. The most fun I had was against a full size dodge ram 'sport' single cab. All three showed me I was #1! Wait 'til I get in my Lightning this Saturday. I'm gonna have a loong post full of kills by the end of Spring Break. I'll be driving it to L.A from Seatle, then back here to Vegas. Nice

Good kill Peter B. I also ran one at the track last weekend but really didn't get to see what it would do. He broke traction off the line so it wasn't even close...I think he ran an 18.XX. The L's leave'm quaking in their boots .

I've only been to the airports in Oregon, would be nice to chat with another Lighning owner, be there about next Sunday or Monday. Is there a cosatal highway? I've always wanted to drive a highway lkike that. I used to live in LA and really liked the pacific caost highway.

Maybe we can hook up somewhere Floyd91

Tundra:

PCH just keeps on going, and although I don't believe it is called that in Oregon, I drove it end to end 2-3 times. It is truly an experience. Do it if you have the chance.
It is also a lot less crowded than in SoCal!
