Found myself next to a White Formula Firebird last night at a light. Traffic was cooperating and we both decided at the last minute to punch it. I didnt get a great launch, just left it in drive to see what my new baby would do. I am happy to say I was within a foot of his front bumper till I lifted at about 70. A better launch and a little more time on the motor and I would have smoked him. The look on his face at the next light when he rolled down his window was worth the price of admission. He was 2 lanes over turning left and I couldnt hear him real well but - I thought I heard something like " What have you got in that thing ? "

Its always fun to shock some guy in an f-body. Nice run.

I think I might have shocked some guy on a bike the other day. I tried to pass him, couldn't do it but I wasn't more than a truck length behind him when I shut down at around 70.

He was either shocked my truck was so fast or that I was so stupid as to race a bike in my 5000 pound truck. Either way it was fun. I knew I didn't have a chance, but I figured what the heck.

 

That is a good one. By the way I like the new handle.

 

Seeing that look on their face is almost as much fun as beating them. Who can they tell about noseing out a 2 1/2 ton pickup?
