In my opinion, the only thing more rice than clear corners/clear bulbs are clear tail lights, which produce that 'pink' look. Don't get clear bulbs- for one thing, noone will see your turn signal when it's on, and you'll get plenty of tickets. I don't know where to get the lighter colored bulbs, but just keep them orange, alright?

Good advice.
This is with stock bulbs. You only see orange when the sun hits them just right. Not worth the ticket, IMO.

The amber lights do show up alot. i believe it does take alot away from the look. Id say go with a ultra white light.. Looks pretty good and is easily visable at night.

Thanks for the input guys. I found an old thread in one of the other boards and came up with a pretty good idea if I can find some "clear" yellow paint at Hobby Town.
I could dust a white bulb with a enough yellow to keep the law off my back, but maybe not show up as much through the clear lenses as the amber does. Man, I'm getting **** in my old age. Ha ha.

Have a great week, ya'll.

Post Clear corner lamps-amber bulbs

Well, I installed my clear corner lenses and they look great. However, the dark amber factory bulbs really take away from the effect i want. They can be easily seen with the lights off.

Are there any aftermarket bulbs that aren't so dark or amber? Has anyone tried getting away with clear bulbs up front? I'm a little worried about running afoul of the law with completely white bulbs there.

Radarlove~ Try searching your local auto stores for bulb covers. I have red ones on my clear bulbs in my clear tail lights. They do not reflect the light like the bulbs do and are a bit harder to see. They are definently darker. I know they have yellow ones too. It would be worth a try to throw some on, they are just little rubber bulb condoms basically.

Thanks, Floyd. What store has those? Would Pep Boys or some major chain have them or would it have to be more of a customization store?

I think it would have to be more of a customization shop. I believe they cost about 3.00 a piece. If you like I can pick some up and ship them to you.
