I have some discoloring and a slight stickyness under my drivers side mat. The dealer will either clean it or replace it when I bring it in. Anyone else notice this? It is near the plastic insert in the carpet.

 

got the same thing. not really concerned, it bieng under the mat and all. it is just on the plastic piece for now. I tried to clean it but it dont come off! let me know how you fare.

 

I had the same thing on mine. I took it into the dealer for a bunch of stuff- stains on the carpet and such- when i got it back the stains were gone so im assuming they cleaned it with something. probably brake cleaner heheh I tried cleaning it once with normal interior cleaner (tuff stuff) and it didnt budge

 

Got mine off with diluted nail polish remover. Ask your girlfriends. I am sure they have some laying around. If you don't have a girlfriend and you still have some laying around, by all means feel free to explain yourself. Careful near the carpeted areas though.

I have it too, and thought it was from dirty feet. I think its from those so called freebie dealer mats they threw in. Let me know what you told the writer and did they clean it free (warranty)/

Be careful! I believe fingernail polish remover is acetone which can do a number on some types of plastic, rubber and paint!
