Tuning EXPERTS??Predator Timing and other settings

I did a search and really no specifics found. On the Predator what's a good timing setting for a basically stock lightning with CAI and Cat-Back on the 91 octane tune?? So far I like the differences it has made and I got my shiftpoints and such all dialed in. Just curious if I should play eith the timing, Global or otherwise... How about Mas Air & Fuel?? Any quick adjustments that may give me that extra edge?? Thanks! any info helps, BK

Question

I'm in the same boat you are, and I have bean asking saince day one. Still no real help yet, the only responce I ever get is to "get a tune from one of our supporting vendors" Man it sucks, I have the Predator already, and I can't really afford to spend more cash, It took me along time to get this truck, I am NOT well off when it comes to cash. The Marine Corps just does not pay enough. Isn't thier ANYONE out thier who has it, and knows where to tweek the peramiters to get a safe, but fun tune?

Everyone's truck is different, everyone's climate is different, everyone's gas is different. When it comes to squeezing every last bit of power out of your truck, there is no general setting or tweek we can give you.

The engineers at Diablosport have a lot of time and effort into getting a safe tune for different mods and octane ratings, if you're going to tweek your own tune you need a wideband o2 gauge and you need to know your way around datalogging.

Or you could risk blowing up your engine over 5 or 10hp, up to you.

:santa:

Heres some neat info that I did find out from some people that were willing to investigate my situation a bit instead of freaking out and saying I am gonna blow it up. The predator allows you to adjust the timing and fuel in 10% incriments upward and downward. As long as you have a good air/fuel guage, preferably a wide-band then you can add fuel, THEN TIMING in very small amounts, never go leaner than the tune you are running, and only go one degree advanced at the most. It doesn't sound like a lot, but 1 degree of timing can be a lot with a blower. It depends on the person's capabilities, and their knowledge of what's going on with the data. Just use some common sense and if you EVER hear detoination then get some help before driving. So far I've taken the 91 octane tune and set it 2 degrees global advanced timing, and my totals in timing under datalog are 32-34 degrees. Works well for my application, now that may not be the case for you, or anyone else at all. Just know your truck, and know what you're reading in the data, and what to look out for. Funny thing is mine likes the fuel that the diablo 91 octane tune is giving but no more at all. I wont go leaner though, until I get a wideband setup so I left the fuel at zero. EVERY TRUCK IS DIFFERENT. I've always spent my time getting to know my setup before changing things too awful much. ONE THING AT A TIME.
