Tranny questions.

When accelarating my transmission tends to jerk when it shifts to the next gear, I thought it would be smooth. I have talked to some people and they think this is normal since the transmission is beefed up for the horse power, but I am not sure since this is my first L. Anyone know anything?

Thanks

What modifications were done to the transmission? Are you running a chip/tuner? Describe the shifts beyond "jerk".

Truck is stock as far as I know. It shifts like it is not shifting soon enough or like it is stuck sometimes. It shifts pretty smooth into 2nd but jersks alittle into 3rd.

The stock transmission without mods or tuner/chip shifts smooth through all shifts. Valve body mods generally increase the firmness relative to throttle with firm shifts at WOT. Chips/Tuners combined with valve body mods shift hard and lay rubber, especially if the torque reduction is removed. Your description sounds like poor valve body or tuning calibration.
