i know i dont own a lightning but i read this from a chat transcript off of goracing.com
Moderator: From Sandra in Yale-Just out of curiosity, what kind of vehicle do you drive personally? Is it a Ford Taurus? [Last Question]
Rusty: I drive a Ford F150 Pick Up and a Lincoln Navigator...I haul my family and dogs around in it...go grocery shopping and all. If I want to be sporty...I drive the Turbo Charged Pick Up truck...it'll go 160 (on the race track). It's the same truck they use for the pace trucks.

Turbo charged pick up truck? Wouldn't Rusty know the difference between turbocharged and supercharged? Pretty cool that he mentioned it doing 160 at the track though. Are they using the Lightning for the pace trucks, or does he mean F-150s?

Last season NASCAR used red Lightnings as pace trucks in the Craftsman truck series.
Looked pretty good flying around the road course in Portland...

Wasn't the pace truck at the Daytona 250 (truck race) a lightning?....could have sworn it was one...in truth, it would be the ONLY truck fit for that duty

Of course they used RED Lightnings as pace cars, after all red is the fastest color! LOL.
Still waiting on mine. Called the inventory manager the other day and he told me he knew nothing at all, then he basically told me to stop calling and they would call me when it got in. Today I called the dealer and spoke w/my salesman and asked him to find out a build date. He never called back--ARGH.
Next time I hook up w/all you guys I better be in a red L.
