Smile Free Stuff from Ford

Well, yesterday I went in and I talked to my dealership. They kept their end of the deal. They are paying for my wheels and slicks in return I am putting their name on the truck somewhere *nothing permanent* for the races. I have to pick up the check next week. While I was there they gave me a whole bunch of cool SVT stuff. The new SVT Enthusiasts issue with the L on the cover, some brochures and a BADASS SVT desk calendar, old Ls and Cobras, new Ls and Contours, I have to go get it all that stuff today since I left it in Cliff's office *Thanks Jared* hehehe They are also giving me a jacket. I am waiting on the hood to get done and the air filter kit to get here I am also going to talk to Sal about getting the chip ordered and how long it will take to get it here. I don't have the money to get the exhaust done before St Louis but the truck should still haul. I also had a racers meeting last night and it went well. About 500 racers. Competition is going to be tough and I need to decide whether or not I want to run Run Tuff or Pro ET. With the 60 degree weather we are shooting for an early April opening instead of mid. I am so totally excited. Just wanted to share with y'all.

Thumbs up

CA,

I am so totally jealous! I don't recall having these kind of things when I was you're age. Best of luck to you with the racing.

Jared,
I sorry that they weren't nice to you like they should have been. That kind of disappointed me. I think with the demand of the 2000's after the impression the 99s made they realize that they can get what they are asking so it gives them the upper hand. I should have had you talk to Barry in the first place. Ummm about that cool SVT stuff I will be happy to share with you Jared. You can have whatever you want. I'll have to do puppy eyes for another calendar though I think. hehe I am going to go up there and get that stuff so email me here at work about the lights and I will give it to Garett and see what he or Trudy can find. You big Sweetie

Tundra,
I love to 1/4 mile race and I used to do it in the Mustangs on club clash nights and test and tunes, no money involved 'cept what comes out of my pocket. When I first bought the truck it took me 7 hours and three trips that day to finalize it. I got lucky and the owner was there and he liked my other truck so he approved the payoff of it even though I was so upside down I was hanging out with kangaroos...They really did work with me to get me into my truck and I have never been happier with a dealership. Anyhow, when I went in a few weeks later and I asked them if they would be interested in sponsoring me at the local track they told me that there were just too many people that raced there that in all fairness it wouldn't be possible, well when the mention of World Ford Challenge came up I went in and I sat down with the finance manager and I told him, Okay this is your last chance...I pretty much expected him to laugh when he asked me, last chance for???? and I told him I needed some help. I told him about the World Ford Challenge and that I wanted the chance to represent the track and the dealership and blah blah blah and he said, well, what can we do? it snow balled from there. In the parts department Trudy is the Goddess and she is from Downs, she worked there for however long and she is the master hehehe I told him how she was helping out and how their own auto body guy that they use was helping out and he was more than willing to give a hand. I told him I needed some wheels and tires so I could pull like I needed and he said no problem. Just asked me to check around get some prices write up a proposal so he could run it by the owner who I am already in the good graces of and they would cut the check. He told me if I win I'm buying the beer. hehe Some of the guys are already aking plans to come down on the weekends and watch me run at the track. That is the one thing that I have always noticed about racers, no matter who where or what ya run, it's like a HUGE family. I think that is what keeps me in it even more than the bragging rights and attention. Sorry so long.

Pete, Thanks The only thing that makes it worth while is that I do work to pay for what I have and I kill myself 7 days a week to have the toys and I wonder sometimes if it's worth it and then I look at her and I know. I guess that is what it's like to have kids. hehe

Love
CA

Isn't it going to be kind of hard to get to the tracks without a DL since your last two epicodes with the MAN.

I'll be number 3

Say WhiteLightninSVTGirl,

How did you get involved in that kind of racing and get your dealership to sponsor you? Must be the natural charms the ladies have. I've never seen a dude out charm a lady.

Hey, you should get a glow in the dark sign with the dealers info on it. That way people can see it at night! LOL

Thanks, now drive through
