POLL: Website devoted to SVT at www.fordsvt.com?
Hi guys,
I have the domain name www.fordsvt.com. I am thinking about opening up a FORD SVT enthusiast site there. It will cover anything that SVT does. Pictures, message boards, tech, etc.. I would also offer free email 'you@fordsvt.com' and free webspace 'www.fordsvt.com/yoursite'
How many of you would be interested? I want to see if it is worth it. I have yet to come across a Ford SVT enthusiast website. Fordsvt.com is the best name for one...hope ford doesn't come after me, but hey..I am not cyber-squatting.
Let me know,
Matt

Matt,
I certainly wish you luck with that endeavor.
My advice is to not bite off more than you can chew early on. I am not saying this to discourage you, but there have been a couple people that have come by here promoting sites with email addresses and/or webspace that people jumped on (myf150.com comes immediately to mind) that suddenly disappear, leaving excited F-150 owners with void email addresses.
Do you have the time and desire to commit to operating this full-time? A home page community really needs that commitment, one of the main reasons that we don't have them here...yet.

Hi Webmaster,
I have a few guys ready to help me out with the site. So YES, I am prepared. Site would probably open in April/May. The webspace would be free, probably 5 to 10 megs or so.

Boy I'm not sure if I want to put this up or not, But you asked if anyone knew of something like this site your thinking of. The Bankston Ford here in Dallas has a web page and club for SVT trucks and cars. They have asked if I and any of my Roush friends would like to be a part of it. I got this info not to long ago and have not told anyone about it since it says SVT I was guessing that the Roush people might end up the second cousin that sits at the kids table. I myself would rather be a part of a group from the www.f150online.com that want all Ford trucks not just a selective group. So here is the web site see what you think. www.svttexas.com
