Hey...do you have any pics of your truck lifted? Also, what size tires are you running?

Puss SS,

I attended Northern Arizona University. Worked hard, but also partied hard, I'm not what people refer to as a "typical" Engineer.
My email is peteb3@home.com

Thumbs down

I am the very proud owner of an 85 Bronco that was stripped down and rebuilt. It sports a 6"lift as well as a 3" body lift and a 450hp 351 I rebuilt. Honestly, the truck cannot compare to what the L can and will give you and so thats why I ordered an L and will have to but old "LBB" in storage to wait for those rainy days to have her then. The shere idea of raising a perforamce vehicle of any kind is beyond ridiculous, and this is coming from one of those who likes to make mud pies, so to speak.

Cool

Hey Matt, Just curious, but since you live in SBA, where would you drive a lifted big tired extended cab 4x4 (or heaven forbid, a lifted Lightning)? I live just down the road near Ojai, and have been off roading for years. It's not impossible, but it is a long drive to do it legally, and very expensive to do it illegally. (How would I know that?)

Question

Well there are a few places around here to Off-Road. I am actually in Carpinteria. Nice little park across the street from where I work. I like the looks off a lifted truck a lot also.

Hey, can I take you to lunch sometime soon? I would like to see a Lightning up close and possibly ride in one.

LMK, Matt

Hey Matt,
Been reading your post, just thought I'd let you know that while I was looking for studded tires, everyone had some sort of smirk as to why I would even drive my Lightning in the winter. Even the dealer tech said "Studded tires on a Lightning? Man, that's almost as bad as a corvette on studds." I told him not to forget that it is still a truck. Anyhow, seems to me that you want the best of both worlds, may I suggest an extended-cab work series 4x4, with a v-6. Then go to Down's Ford dealership on somewhere, somestate, USA and order a Lightning engine, tranny and EEC. There you have it, my complete 2 pennies. Thanks for you time.

Hi Matt,
I wish I had a photo for you but a fellow here at work has a real nice '99' F150 4x4 with a 5.4l engine with a Vortech supercharger on it it looks real good with large tires and wheels and sounds awesome too. I would hope that your dealer will let you out of your GT lease without bending you over the table.
