If I can't get a Whipple will have to go to a KB. Who would you recommand for the KB install and tune in Florida?

you could probably install the blower yourself, it should be a straight forward install. But if you need someone to install it for you and to give you a dyno tune, there is a place in fort myers called Mustang Motorsports. There is a guy named Chris who ownes the shop, he is a great guy and very helpful. I live a little north of tampa and it took me two hours to get there.

The number there is 239-225-7529

I thought REM did your installs and tunes>??? Will they not touch a KB>???
Install is straight forward, you could tackle it yourself or with a buddy for an extra set of hands. Just take your time. I am sure any GOOD tuner could do a mail order tune as well to get you going until you can get on a dyno.

I almost ordered a KB yesterday, for my Avalanche! But I guess in 04' they switched to a returnless fuel system and they are still working on tuning. I must wait. -Mat-

The installation is a breeze! I did my own the second time around and then when I sold the KB I installed it on my friends L. I by no means am a master mechanic, just the basics for me.

If you need a hand I have a great shop that I go to down here in Fort Myers - Mustang Motorsports and my tuner comes over from Miami all the time. You could arrange the install and a tune that day. My tuner is Willie Figueroa direct from Diablo - when I installed the last KB Willie pulled 496/562 rw on a 96 degree day. That tune went 12000 miles daily driver before I sold the '03 problem free!

The owners name is Chris his number is 239 225 7529. His shop is right off of I-75 really easy to get to. I would be glad to meet you there, too.

afchad - I believe K B will not sell to REM.

George like the rest of them said it is a real simple install, you just have to madify the bracket that holds all the sensors and crap on the drivers side. Just very minor trimming. 2 minutes with a dremel tool.

Becides that it is easy, just make sure you follow the torque specs.

Hey there might be another KB lightning running around your area next fall.

George, I can't believe you forget everytime you need something installed. I tell you that Mustang Motorsports is the sh#t! Plus an KB isn't that hard to do, but I have seen some first timers mix up vac. lines and rtv the metal gasket down. (which is not the way it should be done) If anything Chris at MM will help you out. The number has already been posted. He is the one that does all my mods.
