Post Tire Rotation

those of you that have lifted the truck, can i use a 3ton floor jack and get the front and rear up together, or do i need 2 jacks for tire rotation, did you use impact tools or by hand, how about torque values.
thanks

MrBBQMan,

I wouldn't try it w/o jackstands, even with a 3 ton jack. It is not an unpleasant experience doing it by hand, but I use my airtools for the speed factor. Accodring to the stamping on the lugnuts, the torque required is 100 ft/lbs. I hope you have a good torque wrench.

MRBBQ
Although it's not the best thing to do, I have done it with a 2 Ton jack. I also used air tools, for the speed of doing it.

MRBBQMAN, Its been a few months since I rotated last but I believe I lifted on the frame just to the rear of the transmission cross member. I used a 1 1/2 ton floor jack and then supported the frame (front and rear) with jack stands. Rotating the tires was a great opprotunity to wash the insides of the wheels, the brakes, suspensions, and diferential too. Have fun and be safe.
