Lightning vs SRT10 on On Demand

Anyone with comcast on demand there is a 20 minute lightning vs srt10 shootout done by hotrod mag and car & driver i believe called supertruck shootout. They drive the road course as well as the drag strip. Prepare to be disappointed

we all know that SRT stands for Slow-*** Race Truck, so let Dodge keep thinking they got something with that p.o.s. SRT-10, haha, what a joke, $50,000 turd

It was funny watching them try and get the dodge around the road course, it was swapping ends around every corner and they both looped it. The lightning was much smoother around the track. They never do give any lap times for the road course...

$50,000?
I've seen them on dealer lots in the 30's!

A POS truck? It has an aluminum v-10 with over 500hp, that's a POS? I wonder what you consider the lightning, becuase the lighting is slower, and not as quick, doesn't stock as well, and is slower on a road course.

Them are facts, not opinions.

You know I loved my Lightning, it was a blast and did everything I asked of it. But to call the SRT-10 a mopar hunk of ****.... is ignorant. The fit and finish, interior, comfort, ride, etc. is all better with the Dodge. Bang for the buck and ease of modification goes to the Lightning, but the Dodge is far from a piece of crap.

For a truck that stickers for about 50k,there are new '05's all over the place on dealer lots here advertised for 33k!! I cant see dodge keeping them in production for '07-'08.

at the end of the day its a dodge... dodge hasnt done anything right since the 70's, give the SRT a few years till everything rattles.

plus with the motor being out of a viper good luck going to ANY autoparts store and getting ANYTHING for it...

Say swear!!!! That's cool, I have driven one and thought it was a nice truck. I wouldn't spend $50K for one, but I like any performance vehicles regardless of brand.

The fact is they complete missed the market with a 48K sticker truck that barely was faster than a 33k sticker truck and now they have to mark it way down. I feel for the resale loss of the guys that paid sticker.
