Soon to call Ford reguarding my truck, any advice??

Hi all.
My '03 has developed a loud whisteling sound at idle. The best I can describe it is that is sounds like a really high pitched whistle coming from the area around the supercharger belt. First off, the ONLY non stock thing on the truck is a moroso tranny pan (stock valvebody). I tried the ftvb out for a weekend but did not like it so I put it back to stock. THAT is the only thing I have done to it. Do you think that it will be a problem?? I do not think that they can blame a bling-bling tranny pan on a whistle sound in the motor, and I do not feel like hunting down a stock pan either.
I am also VERY reluctant leaving my truck in Ford's hands. Are there any ways that I can make sure they dont beat the **** out of it?? I just hate the idea of those mechanics playing with my truck while Im not there. Any useful info would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks.

Idler pulley or nose bearing ...

Mechanics generally don't drive harder than you do.... < grin > Besides,
if it's gonna break, isn't it better if they break it?
