I've had mine for like 3 years now. They rock. Just put decent model subs in there, don't worry about the preloaded version. I have a set of RF HE series and they are ideal.

I tried 4 Jl 10's it didnt work, could not get the seat to go all the way back. Although 4 8's worked just as good and sounded better.

Talk about killing two birds with one stone! Pounding sound and a lowering kit all in one.

You're not kidding! Add 100lbs of sound deadening material and we have the reason for my 14.4 stock quarter mile time. Tell you the truth, I wouldn't have it any other way, when the warranty's up THEN I'll go for some extra speed.

I've got a few pics. The install was done entirely by myself and some help from my girlfriend. I'm self taught, it all started out when I installed my first tape deck in my first truck when I was twelve (redneck farmer? very much so). I didn't record any of the measurements for the box... which I regret. A lot of time went into designing it with a few things in mind: optimal air space, seat position, and no modifying of any panels. I want to be able to take it out when it gets old and not have any damage to the panels, I plan on keeping this thing for good. It took me about a month to do everything on my spare time at night. I had the kick panels reinforced with some type of fiberglass that doesn't hurt plastic (I dunno, a body shop did it and they figured normal fiberglass would be too harsh for them). The sound deadening makes a big difference and I don't have any problems with the vents being blocked. In the doors I have Kicker 8" mid-bass and Clarion tweeters (had the tweets in a previous system). Kick panels have set of Phoenix Gold components (not a huge fan of them but they'll do for now). Front stage is powered by an old-school Phoenix Gold MQ-430, gold circuit board and excellent SQ. Source is an Alpine 7894. And finally, here are some pics:

Finished box and sub amplifier. Amp is a US Amps that I picked up off e-bay for a good price, 1500 watts RMS. I know a 1 farad cap may not be enough for that much power (usually 1 per 1000 watts) but I'm still on the fence about whether they're even worth putting in. Subs are IDQ 10's.
