lightning cobra, LIGHTNING BOB
Lightning Bob, The cobra engine is 24" from the bottom of the crank pulley to the top of the intake, approx 30" total. The lightning engine is 30" from the bottom of the crank pulley to the top of the blower, approx 38" total. The good news is that the oil pans are simular in shape but the lightning is 2" deeper, maybe it can be swapped. The bad news, the cobra is lowered approx 1.5" and the hieght from the ground to the highest point in the hood, cobra has raised hood, is 36". SO, I think a 3" cowl hood will have a hole in it to fit the blower. You could always 4x4 the cobra???

Thanks for the info. Ever see a late model Mustang with a shaker hood? Ford currently has a "Bullet" late model on display at the Chicago Auto Show, so why not a Mach 1 version. Especially if you already have the Mach 1 parts. Anyway, you have given me some food for thought. Thanks again.
Lightning Bob
P.S. Are the crank pullies both the same diameter?

What do you think is under the hood of this "stang"? Do I need to give you more than one quess. I don't think so.
LB. How about a photo of that Bullitt Stang I don't have one from Chicago. Still waiting for your L photo too.
Here is the original Bullitt car

Thanks for the Mustang pictures. The late model white still looks pretty stealth. Tell us more about it. I sent pictures of my L from work today(again). Also sent late model "Bullet" pics from the auto show, not the best I ever took, but you'll get the idea.
