Post Calling Isa4325

Hey Andre,
Got the chip you let me borrow in and I have a couple of questions.
1. In the #1 position, I see no change in shift firmness and I pings right before shifting. Is there a learning curve for the chip or was this the stock setting.
2. Have not tried the #2 setting. I am sure it has more timing built in for the 112 octane gas.
3. The contacts are all clean, nice and golden. Don't know what is wrong - any ideas.

Hope the pulley change went without a hitch.

Jerrod

#1 is sort of bone stock, # 2 is good for 93-112. I never heard a ping out of mine in either position. Shift firmness is only in #2 position. Should not be any problems in either. I do not think there is a learning time is should be instant. The way most electronics are. Did you disconnect battery and reset by turning on headlights till they go out and then reconnect the battery?
Pulley went on without a hitch, first dyno run showed to much timing so I retarded max down 2 more digrees and HP curve went up and out alittle on the RPM range to 4850. I think I am goint to like this. We will see in two weeks. Going to Phoenix next weekend to play golf. Thanks again 99SVT.

Did not try the reset. Will put it in the #2 position and do the reset. Maybe this will help. Glad to see you like the pulley and that it was a trouble-free install. Thanks for the info.

Hey Isa4325,
Switched to the #2 position, did the reset, shifting seems a little firmer, still pinging before shifting. Will probably by the chip from you, will just have to get it adjusted a little.
The place where you do your dyno runs, do they burn chips also? If so, is it the same software?
BTW, the passage from Isaiah, is there a hidden meaning behind it or is it just the literal one. Just curious.

The dynos are done at a friends place who is the Owner/Driver for a IHRA Funny Car, Leon Dudley. He has a dyno at his shop here in Houston. The chip mods are done by the GURU of turbo chargers, here in Humble base on the dyno print outs. The pinging could be because of the stock muffler. Is yours still stock?
The Bible verse is litteral and has a very special meaning to me. It ended a 20 year search after returning home from Nam. I will tell you about it at the next burger run. But thanks for asking.

Yeah, the mufflers are still stock. The full bassani exhaust is on the way - hopefully this week. Might wait till after it is installed before modifying chip. Thanks.
