Arrow Anybody with a Vortech Supercharger?

Does anyone have a Vortech on there Gen 1 Lightning? Could this supercharger be installed and still retain the Speed Density system? What about HP gains, pro, cons?

I have a Powerdyne on a 93 lightning, speed density, and 24# injectors, and get 10 around town and 13 maybe 14 on the freeway at 85-90. I hear these guys with 17 mpg and wonder if I have a lead foot or what. I have never gotten over 12 around town even with my wife driving the truck. By the way, the Powerdyne is easy to install, uses no oil , no oil lines, and I have one for sale! slightly used on a 93 lightning I need to sell. I just cant afford both lightnings. Ill make you a good deal?

I have a friend who has a vortec supercharger on his 94 lightning. To tell you the truth he is not that impressed. It runs mid 14s.His mods are S/C,and exhaust.Do not make the same mistake he did.He took off the cats and now he has a real flat powerless power curve.Im no expert but I think with a S/C you need backpressure more than if it was stock?.I have seen stock 95 lightnings run 14.8-14.9 with just a low profile tire.So mid 14s doesnt seem that good for a s/c
