JLPRace system Update!

We are starting to get things tested. i would show the dyno results but the photo gallery isn't working right now Also i have 2 sound clips to post if someone would post them for me i don't know how to..

We used Dave Londons truck for the test mule Thanx Dave!

TEST 1..We used the same lower 10" pulley and the 2.7" upper pulley 1st!. on the 1st pull we saw a 3# loss in boost which is a good thing!(old Exhaust was making 23# New 19-20#)..However with a 3# loss in boost we still made more power across the entire rpm band we went from 665 rwhp! to 705 rwhp! the torque was about the same 828RWT 829RWT! the reason the torque did not increase was i believe was due to lower boost levels down low! However we made over 40 more RWHP!

TEST 2.. We changed the lower pulley to a 11.250"dia pulley and the top to a 3.0 to try and achieve the same boost level we did with the other LTH/exhaust set-up. but we had problems with belt slip because the belt we had was too long. we didn't have the proper size and couldn't find one! So we just did what we could. The boost jumped to 23# right away but fell off below 18# at around 4,600 rpm's.THe HP fell off as as well! The RWHP fell off to 685rwhp! but the Torque down low where there was no belt slip hit an amazing 869 FTLBS!.... Thats over 40 ftlbs Gain! @ the same boost levels with the old Exhaust set-up! and Almost 900 without spray!..As soon as we can get the photo's up on the gallery we'll post them..The Exhaust sound is just unbelievable! We had to get the system off the truck today and get it shipped back to bassani. they will be making a few minor changes in the tubes and then we'll have the 1st Stainless set within a few weeks! They'll be going on Daves truck..If the weather is right we hope to get to Atco and get that 9 sec. pass!....JL

Sounds like a success to me Johnny,
Maintaining that moster torque down low, and gaining 40 more HP up top
IS AWESOME, CONGRATS!!

I can host the pictures and Sound files,
e-mail them to me if you want

Sheet mang that sounds crazy. Anything else done to the engine that would change the sound, other than just the LTH, cats, mufflers..

I agree it does sound awesome, but I doubt I can ever put anything Bassani makes on my truck after they way they treated me.

I put one of there cat back systems on my regular F150, but I lost all my low end power and got such a drowning noise in the cab I got a headache if I drove more than 15 minutes. So I called them and they told me to send it back to them. Well I took it off the truck and sent it back to them, only to be totally ignored once I sent it back to them. I kept calling them for months, but never got any answers or a refund.

So after a while I just gave up and said screw those A holes. It is to bad as I had used there products before on other vehicals with great results.

I know there Lightning cat backs have allways worked pretty good, but there cat back system for a regular F150, which is a 3 inch system is just to big for a non supercharged application. I feel Bassani knew it was to big, but were to stubborn to admit it.
