Well after finding out the truth behind the Downs pulley backorder,I Decided to purchase the ASP blower pulley. Recieved it today,insalled it about an hour later.Install was very straight foward.Well after taking the SVT for a run with the Superchipin stock mode power seemed great.I did experience the flat spot at around 100mph, but the truck continued to pull right up to red line.The phantom guage was showing 13 lbs. at shift point.Well, after a few runs up and down Route 1 (by DAFB)I decided to activate the Superchip.Well power seemed to take a little longer to wind up.Had a chance to do some dead stop blasts up the highway.To me it seems as if the pulley no chiphad the best feel.This is exactly what Sal told us it would do.
So until I get to the track next Friday, I won`t know for sure what seems to work better.I believe a custom burned(dyno time) chip would be the best way.So seems as if I will be spending most of my time at the track swapping pulley`s,and playing with the chip...
Like Sal stated, if you have the chip,you don`t need to add the pulley.

Yes, I purchased the puller. It could not be done without it.You also do need it to install the new pulley. I was very pleased with the puller. The instuctions that came with it are for the pontiac.I used the photos in the install insructions to assemble the puller
