Question for those with aftermarket boost gauge
Is it just me or does it seem that the phantom gauge moves very differently than the factory. The factory gauge often shows a constant boost (+6-8) while the phantom is rising/declining. The trucks performance isn't different. It seems most noticable at higher speeds and WOT.
At vacuum, the gauge is right on with throttle. Last night when testing the chip, while cruising at 60mph, both the factory and phantom showed vacuum. BUT, when pedal hits the floor, both gauges rise(Factory maxs out) and then the phantom slowly starts to decline. Meanwhile, the factory stays maxed out, and about 1-2 secs after the phantom is back to little/no boost the factory returns to little/no also.
Is the factory gauge that inaccurate?? or is it possible the phantom gauge is a bit off??? Is this just typical????
Never had a boosted car before, and before installing the phantom gauge I never much payed attention.
Thanks again

not sure what you mean by "bouncing around", @ vacuum mine responds more because is reading a lower pressure than the stock guage can, but it sure doesnt bounce around, seems to be very accurate.

I'm with Yoda, no bouncing around. The gauge moves with the throttle.
