Question Options available for 2000 L?

Hi. Please help clarify the information/misinformation I have been reading and told.

Went to the local SVT dealer on Monday, January 31, 2000, to order an L with all available options.

Saleswoman and Sales Manager said that the only option for the 2000 L was a tonneau cover, which they said was unavailable. I ordered the truck, asking the saleswoman to sign the sales agreement that the price (MSRP, by the way)included all available options. Of course, she did not respond to my request.

If there are any Members who know what options are available for the 2000 Lightning please respond here.

Hi wilywilky!

The only option is the tonneau cover, (I passed on the cover, marginal quality IMHO). The 6 disc changer and tow package are now standard equipment.

ArcLight, which one?
I driven the roadster and I have an hour seat time in the S80 T6. I like them both, so which one? I assume the S80, right?

2000Silverbulletonorder,

Yep, the S80 will make room. It is a nice car with a lot of feature content for the price. A bit slow for my tastes but I love getting into the "go" pedal. It won't necessarily go away completely, just out into the driveway behind the house but...

3 cars in a one-person household would be getting extreme even for me.

Now having a pick up and a roadster that are pretty close speedwise, that's a combination!

Last time I went over my order with my dealer he informed me that there was an optional equipment package available in California only. It consisted of three items, one of which was a running board, and I don't remember the other two because none of them interested me.

I'd rather have a bottle in front of me than a frontal lobotomy.

'92 Civic Si, Centerforce Dualfriction clutch, no front license plate.

'84 Alan Record Carbonio, Aerospoke wheels, Sugino AT crankset, Campy brakes (I think, hard to tell underneath the protective coat of grease and dirt).

'98 Honda "Harmony" 5.0 h.p. mulching mower, stock.

2000 silver SVT Lightning on order (the lawnmower will have to go).

alphadoggy,

Sounds like one of the regular F-150 dealer installed options. Can't imagine why California would have an exclusive on this stuff but I'm no expert.

Cool

Hey wilywilky - there have been so many different opinions on what is coming as standard on a 2000 L that it is truly impossible to figure out. It seems that the tonneau was listed as an option but is not available, so scratch it. It appears that everything else is really an unknown. Part of the mystique I suppose.

I guess the bottom line is - does it really matter???!!??? I for one am not buying a lightning for the indash whatever or the towing thingy. What's under the hood is the heart of this purchase.
