Airaid Owners
Sandy and others - I received the airaid today minus 4 bolts. I called Evergreen and they are going to ship them out to me tomorrow - priority mail.
Question: The instructions come with a parts list and indicate 12 quarter inch washers but neglect where to use them. I'm having a little trouble figuring out where all 12 are suppose to be placed. There are 2 bolts that come up from the bottom of the box and fit through the bushings and then through the silver bracket and then through the box itself. I think that I realize that 1 is supposed to be used on each bolt prior to insertion up through the rubber grommets...what next? I think that 1 each (total 4) are suppose to be used prior to insertion through the mass air connection...help.?....anybody???

I have an airaid and was shorted the four bolts also. Had to by some at the auto-parts store. I just doubled up the extra washers, one on the bottom side of the bolt, one on the top side of the bolt. I think that will make use of all of them. Hope that helps.
thanks...that does help.
On Another Note: I know this was mentioned before...something about the hood not shutting properly. Can somebody remind me what was done to fix this problem? I will also try to look at the other posts. Thanks
Called Evergreen this a.m. and they are shipping me the replacement panel, weatherstrip, and 4 bolts priority mail. They seem to be good professional people. I hope that the stuff gets here tomorrow.
Now if I could just get one of those stock SVT Plates

It sounds like you have cleared up your issues. On the airaid air dam, as you look at it installed. The right front tip of the dam made the slightest contact with the hood when closed. It did not affect closing of the hood, but left a little mark on the interior. They rushed me a new panel, and I did not even have to uninstall the box to put in the new panel. They are quick and accommodating at Evergreen. BTW, a guy who is a great mechanic that I work with installed mine in that he enjoys doing that kind of thing, so I didn't pay a lot of attention. I told him to call me when it was time for the test drive.
You will love it when you get it installed.
