Cool

Ha!! You guys are giving me deja vu. You sound like we did at this time last spring!!! We (1999 owners) were all about to BUST waiting for job 1, wondering when and how they were going to be shipped, what order, who's first.

Man, I feel your pain!! Once they start rolling off the line, they pour in to the dealers, so get ready, March should be wild.

Hey Christy Ann!

Please...Please...Please also include me in the information from your dealership. Shot me a quick note off-line "rsw4723@yahoo.com" with the news.

Thanks-again

Called SVT Number the other day they said that Production started Last Monday.

I am amazed at the lack of consistent information on these issues. May be we have to wait for PBGas to tell us when he sees one rolling out of the factory on the carriers before we will know for sure.

SVT also said that their web site would be updated 3/1/00.

Waiting ..........

I'm glad I didn't have to deal with this you guys. I went up to the dealership and there were a few of them just on the lot....no waiting or ordering, but just as a heads up, my dealership here in Denver is getting a few in and nobody has put an order in for them so they are up for grabs. I have a friend checking the allocation, delivery date and colors in case anybody is interested.

Thumbs down

After reading everyone's replies, I had to call my dealer again today. Oh man have I got bad news for all of us: SVT just discovered that due to a major defect in the torque converters complete production of Lightnings has been postponed indefinitely!

PSYCH. I just had to throw that up to make everyone's heart skip a beat. I figured we all need a tension breaker in these grueling times of waiting on our L's. I hope mine arrives before we start seeing the 115 degree weather here in Phoenix, because then I won't experience the real performance the truck can deliver. I've never even driven one of these animals.

Hey Peter!
In yesterdays production there was a Lightning with a plywood fascia. Could that be yours.

Cool

No, it was mine. I've never had any complaints about how well red covers ply. I'd be happy to take delivery. My only concern is what stain they used on the grills?

Thumbs up

BABolt,

As long as it was ACX grade plywood and had all the knot holes filled, I hope its mine. At this point after waiting, I'll take any L off the line, well that might not be entirely true, but.

It was late last night when I wrote the posts, had 2 bad days on the stock market and I was in one of those punchy modes last night.
