Hey all, Sal here. Man, I really feel like crap now. I incorrectly said that I could re-program the GEM to compensate for gear changes. I was told this by one of our Ford Hotline techs. After I got the first one and tried it, it turns out that this is not true. After spending some more time on the phone today with an engineer, it turns out that the axle ratio is in the PCM after all. But you cannot change the axle ratio parameter. It will only accept the 3.55 ratio. So please do NOT send me your GEMs for this service, and do not go to the dealer for it because it cannot be done. BUT, I am working with Mike W. right now to see if we can get the software for the chips to override this block. So far it looks good. If all works out, I will be able to program our PSP chip for gear changes after all. I'll let you know...

My gear went in today and I will go crazy with the speedometer out of wack! Some one please help me!!!!
First the blower pulley, now the speedometer. I will never learn to leave well enough alone.
If no one can help me, please just send your mail bombs to my home address and end my pain.

Are you talking about the dealer not being able to reprogram? When I had my 3:73 installed they said they reset my speedo to match and that it was the only one in the Rotunda computer that they could do. Is my speedo wrong? woooops, I smell a ticket and to think I bought Red to give it a good name.
