Greg,
I'm having a problem reaching you here lately. My Monster box tranny has been acting strange and I thought I could get your advise before taking it in for service...When the truck is cold the trans does not shift into OD until you let off the gas and I recently added the transmission temp. gauge to my truck and I am seeing temps that hover around 210-225 whenever the truck warms up. I am running both the stock oil cooler and the F250 trans cooler. What should the oil temps be?

You would have better luck reaching him if you started an anti-JDM thread. Seems to be the only time he comes on here anymore. Or you could buy a BTS tranny and be happy!

225* is WAY too high, don't expect ANY transmission to last long at those temps. What does the fluid look/smell like>??? -Mat-

Yep, that and you need to inspire his minions to start bombing him with heads up emails.... .

The list of failures just keeps a climbing.

I've tried contacting him multiple times over the last month or so also and haven't gotten any replies. My 2CR is no different then a stock VB.

Well that is good so hopefully you haven't hurt anything. Do you have a reputable shop in your area to check it out for you>??? Wish I were closer as I could offer a hand. -Mat-

Bill, I don't know about our tranny's, but when I had my Lentech in my Mustang they told me to never let it go above 200*. I had to install a B+M cooler with a fan on it to keep it that cool in the summer. Did you buy your tranny through Chickenears or Jasper. You could try to get in touch with him through Chicken.

Typically 200 degrees is the max safe temp before things start to go bad fast. Heat will kill a tranny faster than anything.
